Alfa Translators is a small translation office in Sofia, in ж.к. Левски В (the Levski V estate). Zhaklin Petrova Zhekova-Stamboliyska runs it. There are no branches and no call centre: one address you can visit by appointment, and a form that handles most of the work.
Mostly remotely. You send the document through the form, get a quote, confirm it, and the finished translation comes back by email. We meet in person only by appointment, and only when a document genuinely has to be handed over.
Who certifies the translation
Alfa Translators doesn’t hold its own contract with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Official translation for legalisation and apostille goes through a partner who does. That’s ordinary practice in the field. We’d just rather say so up front.
Your documents
The documents you upload carry personal data, sometimes sensitive data such as health information or criminal-record details. We use it only to produce the translation. The file is deleted from the server the moment the email goes out. If an enquiry doesn’t turn into an order, we delete the document within 30 days of our last contact. Once an order’s completed, we delete it within 30 days of delivery. Accounting records are kept separately for 10 years, as the law requires, but they hold no document content, just the name, the service, the amount and the date.
